Grandma Marion’s Stuffed Strawberries

Ingredients

2 packages strawberries

16 oz cream cheese, room temperature

1 cup powdered sugar (add more to reach desired taste + texture). You can also sub this with honey and whip in a stand mixer to obtain a similar texture.

1 tsp. almond extract (or vanilla)

Squeeze of citrus

Instructions

  1. Combine cream cheese and powdered sugar in a medium bowl. Start by adding 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar, then slowly add the remainder until you reach your desired taste and texture.

  2. Mix in preferred extract and citrus.

  3. Cut tops off rinsed strawberries, then hollow each berry by spinning a small knife in a circle.

  4. Use a piping bag (or Ziploc) to fill the berries with your cream cheese mixture.

  5. Chill in the fridge until you are ready to serve.
